Statement of Philosophy
Saint Joseph High School is a Catholic institution dedicated to education that is rooted in the spiritual, intellectual, physical and social development of each student in a Catholic Christian environment.
The philosophy and practice of our school is to teach the “message” and life of Jesus Christ through the Tradition of the Catholic Church. These teachings will become the foundation by which each student lives. This spiritual dimension will foster the growth of a vital Catholic Christian community. In upholding the truths and values of Jesus Christ as preserved and taught by the Catholic Church, we continue the apostolic call of Christ “…..to go and teach all nations.”
The faculty and administration of Saint Joseph High School teach concepts encompassing both the theoretical and the practical dimensions in all content areas. Our program will develop efficient basic skills, increased knowledge, inquiring minds, personal integrity and self-confidence. The students may then be able to recognize and address the challenges that they encounter in their everyday lives. We are committed to teaching within the framework of all the academic disciplines.
We believe that Saint Joseph High School will continue to provide an active, dynamic and valuable atmosphere for the ongoing process of growing and maturing. We are proud to be a vital part of each individual student’s growth as a Catholic Christian person.
