The Resource Room provides services for those students who have a current Individual Educational Plan or an Individual Service Plan.
Classified students have the option of taking Skills Support class as an elective. For Freshmen, Skills Support is offered in place of Academic Maintenance. During Skills Support class, students are able to work on any subject area intertwining the content while developing and reinforcing study skills with individual assistance. During Study Skills, grades are monitored on a daily basis reviewing which accommodations need to be made for each student.
The Resource Room program is structured so that inclusion occurs according to numbers of students; this provides personnel assistance in the regular classes as much as possible. This enables the inclusion support staff to reteach mini lessons and assist with homework. For those students who choose not to take Skills Support some help is available during lunch.
